We are excited to announce that Gordon Hepburn Snr has been elected as an honorary member of the Scottish Ploughing Championships
Gordon made his debut at the Scottish Ploughing Championships in 1977 at Forres, competing in the reversible class. He is also a former Scottish Champion in the Trailing class.
Gordon has been actively involved since the late 90s, and then played a massive part in the Pitgaveny Estate event in 2015, providing significant support for each subsequent match. Gordon has also been involved with the ploughing and judges training days, coaching and delivering training continuing to share his knowledge and experience with the next generation.
In recent years, Gordon has greatly
supported the Scottish team competing at European matches, where he has judged and coached multiple times. This year, he extended his support to the Scotland team at the World Ploughing Championships.
